Preparation

  • Inform the doctor of your medical history, medications, surgical history, drug allergy history, food allergy history (if you have a history of treatment from the hospital, you should bring it with you on the consultation day)
  • Stop smoking, stop drinking all types of alcohol for at least 1 week
  • Stop taking painkillers, blood thinners before surgery, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, to reduce bruising from blood clots after surgery for at least 1 week.
  • However, if necessary, please inform the staff Stop taking vitamins, fish oil, and all types of dietary supplements for at least 1 week
  • Remove all types of metal from the body, such as hair clips, jewelry, nail extensions, earrings, and navel rings
  • After surgery, you can eat normally. However, due to swelling and tightness after surgery, you may have difficulty chewing food. In the beginning, it is recommended to eat soft food.
  • After leaving the operating room, there will be a drainage tube and a face bandage. Before going home, the clinic staff will remove the drainage tube and put on a face bandage before going home.
  • Wound care: Patients can clean their face as usual. After getting wet, pat dry. Use a cotton swab soaked in saline or boiled water to wipe the wound and surrounding area to remove any bloodstains. Then apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment to keep the wound moist. Do this twice a day, morning and evening after bathing.
  • Sleep on 2 high pillows or raise your head about 30-40 degrees to help reduce swelling.
  • Apply cold compresses frequently (never apply warm compresses). Apply compresses to the eyes and cheeks or apply them simultaneously to both the eyes and cheeks.
  • You can wash your hair, but avoid bleaching or scratching the area with the surgical wound.
  • It is recommended to wear a bandage on your face for at least 7-10 days and can be worn continuously for up to 1 month while resting at home and if you go out, you can remove the bandage.
  • The 4-5 days after surgery will be the period when your face is most swollen.
  • Take the medication you have received continuously until it runs out. There is no need to buy more medication because the medication you have received is sufficient for treatment.
  • In the case of taking dietary supplements, it is recommended to take them for 3-4 weeks after surgery.
  • You should avoid alcohol for 1 month after surgery.
  • You can do chemical hair treatments such as dyeing and straightening for 1 month after surgery.
  • 1st time
    7 days after surgery. The first appointment is to remove stitches in front of the ear. After removing stitches, you can apply scar-reducing cream in front of the ear.
  • 2nd time
    14 days after surgery. The appointment is to remove stitches in the temple and behind the ear. After removing stitches, you can apply scar-reducing cream in front of the ear.
