Preparation before surgery

2. Stop smoking and refrain from drinking all types of alcoholic beverages for at least 1 week.

3. Stop taking painkillers and blood thinners before surgery, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, to reduce bruising from blood clots after surgery for at least 1 week. However, if necessary, please inform the staff.

4. Avoid taking vitamins, fish oil, and all types of dietary supplements for at least 1 week.

5. Remove all metal from the body, such as hair clips, jewelry, nail extensions, earrings, navel rings.

6. Prepare a non-wired bra (sports bra) to wear after surgery before going home.

Post-Breast Augmentation Care by MAXi Cosmetic Surgery

Back care, breast augmentation

1. After leaving the operating room, the chest area will be bandaged and there will be drainage tubes on both sides. On the first day after surgery, the doctor will loosen the bandage and remove the drainage tubes. Then, you will be asked to wear a non-wired bra (sports bra). For the first week, wear it both day and night. It is recommended to continue wearing it for another month. After that, you can wear an underwire bra according to your preference.

2. After leaving the hospital, you can live a normal life.

3. Be careful about lifting your arms too fast and lifting heavy objects for the first 1-2 weeks.

4. After surgery, you can take a shower 1 day, but refrain from using soap or shower cream on the wound area. Apply a thin layer of Terramycin or Chloramphenicol antibacterial ointment to keep the wound moist, twice a day, morning and evening after taking a shower, until the stitches are removed.

5. No need to massage your breasts.

6. Take the medication continuously until it runs out. There is no need to buy more medication because the medication you have received is sufficient for treatment.

7. In case of taking dietary supplements, it is recommended to take them for 3-4 weeks after surgery.
You should avoid alcohol for 1 month after surgery.

8. After breast augmentation surgery, in the long term, you should regularly examine your breasts to see if there are any abnormalities or changes in the appearance of your breasts.

Possible complications or side effects after breast augmentation include:

  • The chance of scar tissue is the same if the implant is under the muscle, but smooth skin needs to be massaged in the morning and evening when taking a shower. Sandy skin does not need to be massaged. Smooth skin has a lower chance of feeling the edge of the silicone. Suitable for people with little breast tissue and thin skin.
  • The lifespan is at least 10 years and does not need to be replaced in every case. Check MRI Scan every year after 10 years. The chance of having problems from silicone at 10 years is about 2%.
  • Currently, doctors will choose to use the teardrop shape in some patients with structures such as high chest bases or shorter chest bases than normal (the risk of silicone rotation later is about 0.5%, which is considered very low. In general, round shapes can be used. If there is no scar tissue, the shape will be beautiful because when standing, it will be quite loose, not round as thought.   • Very rare, may be temporary for 3-4 months if not worn too large.
